Ichiban Games Releases A New Puzzle Game for iPhone and iPod Touch.
TOKYO, Japan (February 10, 2009) Ichiban Games in conjunction with KSOFT Games continues its line-up of smash iPhone and iPod Touch gaming software with a game entitled Watts Shockin’ 1.0. Watts Shockin’ is a puzzle game designed for casual gamers and uber-gamers alike where players can race against their own best time or against the clock, rotating wire tiles to connect the light bulbs placed around the playing field with the batteries that provide the electric charge. The game play is simple, but some puzzles are shockingly difficult to solve.
Watts Shockin’ simple and intuitive game play lets you get right into the action. Rotate the wire tiles to connect to the batteries and make an electric path all the way to the light bulbs located around the screen. Once you’ve lit all of the light bulbs you can move to the next stage. To rotate touch the wire you want to rotate and swipe. Move your finger to the right or left to rotate the tile 90 degrees, or swipe up and down to rotate the tile 180 degrees.
In addition to your wire, battery and light bulb tiles, there are also red tiles with a thumbs-up sign (the Bonus Tile) and a blue tiles with a thumbs-down sign (the Penalty tile). These two tiles complicate the stage and force you to rethink your strategy. Connecting to the Bonus Tile to either get a boost to your time score, a secret tile, or even hints to solving the puzzle. The Penalty tile will subtract your score or even mess up tiles you’ve already solved; avoid these at all costs!
Watts Shockin’ provides players with two game modes. Beginners make their way through 100 preset stages, trying to clear each puzzle as quickly as possible. Watt Shockin’ saves your best three scores, and you can go back any time to beat your old scores. Players looking for a jolt of a challenge can race against the clock in the Time Challenge mode, where an infinite number of stages present themselves in gradually increasing difficulty. Once you start, you’ll be shocked by how hard it is to stop!
Watts Shockin’ is available for download now on the App Store, accessible through iTunes or directly from your iPhone or your iPod Touch (iPod Touch requires a wireless internet connection for this service) and costs $1.99.
